Overview:
Leading and promoting optimal learning is a key challenge facing educational institutions, educational leaders, advisers, policy makers and governments. Finding the connections between leadership and learning is not easy. It involves change, reform in organizations and adequate knowledge and skills that students/educational practitioners are expected to possess.
Programmes to be offered at the Department of Educational Studies and Leadership of the College of Education will offer students and educational practitioners the opportunity to think through broad and specific educational and leadership themes and develop their understanding of the theories and key issues and how they impact teachers’ professional practice.
The Department would also provide a relevant platform to enable educational scholars and practitioners at all levels within educational settings critically engage with key issues related to their contexts.
